Informatica empowers Azure customers with analytics and business insights with the public preview of its Data Quality Native Application for Microsoft Fabric
Informatica has delivered on a new way to address data management needs of Microsoft Fabric customers. Data Quality Native Application for Microsoft Fabric, newly released into Public Preview, leverages Informatica’s experience as an ISV Design Partner of Microsoft Fabric to help customers with their analytics and AI initiatives by providing access to data integration, data discovery, data quality, master data and data governance capabilities.
The Data Quality Native App achieves this by seamlessly connecting Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) into the Microsoft Fabric environment so customers can unlock the power of IDMC within Microsoft Fabric to gain critical business from governed, high-quality data. The native application offers the ability to:
- Create data profiles for assets stored in Microsoft Fabric using the power of Informatica’s market leading Data Quality tooling from within the Microsoft Fabric interface.
- Use Data Profiles to find and analyze data irregularities across Microsoft Fabric to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the data and its metadata.
- Access profiles and their results from both Microsoft Fabric and IDMC, ensuring that each stakeholder can use their preferred tool for their job function to monitor and maintain the quality of the data stored inside of Microsoft Fabric.
- Extend profiles into Informatica’s full IDMC platform to provide additional enterprise data management services with this profiled data, including data governance, master data management, publishing curated data products to a data marketplace, and more.
The full IDMC platform supports integration through connectors and scanners:
- Connectors and Scanners for all 3 Microsoft Fabric environments: OneLake, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse
- Connectors support ETL and ELT actions with compute options for both the IDMC and Microsoft Fabric platforms
- Connectors support Cloud Data Integration and Mass Replication activities for both batch and event-based ingestion
- All connectors are also available through Informatica’s Advanced Serverless environment as an Azure Native Service
- Scanners that capture Microsoft Fabric data workloads as inputs into Informatica’s extensive Enterprise Data Governance and Data Quality services
