Program Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Services

Informatica sells Training, Education Subscriptions, and Training Units. Whether you purchase Training, Education Subscriptions, or Training Units from us or through one of our authorized Business Partners, we agree to provide you with these services per the terms described in this Appendix. In exchange, you agree to comply with the requirements, terms, and conditions of this Appendix. When we use a capitalized term in this Appendix without defining it, the term has the meaning defined in the base agreement.

2. Training

2.1.1 "Training" means Informatica's training courses, including Informatica's self-paced onDemand and eLearning courses, publicly available instructor-led courses, and courses provided at a site designated by you ("Onsite Courses").

2.1.2 Equipment and Facilities. For Onsite Courses, you will supply the facility and equipment. If Informatica agrees to provide the training facilities and hardware, you will be liable for any loss or destruction of this equipment and hardware used in connection with the Training.

2.1.3 Client Responsibilities. You are responsible for (a) assessing each participants' suitability for the Training, (b) enrollment in the appropriate course(s), and (c) your participants' attendance at scheduled courses.

2.1.4 Rights to Training Materials. All intellectual property embodied in the training products, materials, methodologies, software, and processes, provided in connection with the Training or developer during the performance of the Training (collectively, the "Training Materials") are the sole property of Informatica or an Informatica Affiliate and are copyrighted by Informatica unless otherwise indicated. Training Materials are provided solely for the use of the participants and may not be copied or transferred without the prior written consent of Informatica. Training Materials are Informatica's confidential and proprietary information.

2.1.5 Delivery Date and Cancellation. You agree to the cancellation policies and the procedures for scheduling of Training and Onsite Courses available at https://www.informatica.com/services-and-training/informatica-university.html. Requests for cancellations or date transfers need to be received at least 10 business days prior to the event in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation or reschedule request is received less than 10 business days before the start date, you will be charged 100 percent of the class fee. Refunds will not be allowed for those who don't show up to classes. This cancellation policy is strictly enforced. Informatica reserves the right to cancel events for any reason at any time. Cancellation liability is limited to the return of payment ONLY. Informatica will not reimburse registrants for any travel cancellation fees or penalties, including airfare and hotel.

2.1.6 Due to the nature of Informatica University's onDemand product and the manner in which the course information is delivered to the student, no refund will be made for an onDemand purchase. Reallocation of onDemand products to another user is not permitted, nor will Informatica University authorize an account transfer to another student.

2.1.7 Term time limitations may be found within section 6.1.2

3. Informatica Education Subscriptions

3.1.1 "Informatica Education Subscription" means access to certain Informatica learning resources consisting of (a) access to an online repository of learning courses and videos during the term of the Informatica Education Subscription ("Online Learning Site"); or (b) access to instructor-led public class services; or (c) access to a combination of services, curricula, and/or training assets.

3.1.2 Named User/Participant. Informatica Education Subscriptions are priced based on the number of your employees or contractors using or accessing the Training Materials and Training services made available ("Named User"). In order to begin accessing the Training Materials, videos, and support made available thorough a Informatica education Subscription, the Named User(s) for such subscription must first register with Informatica.

3.1.3 Informatica Education Subscriptions are effective from the date of order.

3.1.4 If the Informatica Education Subscription includes the ability to unlock certification exams, Named Participant may be permitted to complete certification exams online. Informatica reserves the right to modify learning paths and/or certification criteria for certification exams. The standard exam terms and conditions apply to any unlocked exams.

3.1.5 An Informatica Education Subscription may be reassigned to an alternative Informatica Education Subscription Named User to be used for the remainder of the subscription period in the event any of the following occurs: (a) the current Informatica Education Subscription Named User has not used the Informatica Education Subscription to attend any public instructor-led courses or to access online onDemand courses during the subscription period; (b) the current Informatica Education Subscription Named User has terminated employment with the Licensee and has taken less than two classes (provided, however, reassignment pursuant to this subsection (b) may occur only once during the subscription period); or (c) the current Informatica Education Subscription Named User can no longer attend any public instructor-led courses nor access online courses due to serious illness or injury.

3.1.6 Term time limitations may be found within section 6.1.1

4. Certification Exams

4.1.1 Exams will be available within the Informatica LMS (Cornerstone) and may be taken immediately or up to 90 days after purchase (or 90 days after registration, if certification is included with subscription). No scheduling needed.

4.1.2 Student re-take option will be automated. If a student does not pass their exam on the first try, the exam will be available to them after 2 weeks for the second attempt.

4.1.3 Students will be provided 90 minutes to complete their exam. Students must complete the exam within one session. There is no save/return option. Total score will be calculated with unanswered questions marked incorrect.

4.1.4 This test is confidential and proprietary. It is made available to you, the test taker, solely for the purpose of assessing your proficiency level in the skill areas referenced in the title of the test. To protect the integrity of the certifications, the test taker must adhere to strict guidelines. The test taker shall not record, take pictures or screenshots of any parts of an exam or disclose to any third party the contents of this certification test.

4.1.5 It is a violation to participate in any incident of cheating, breach of security, misconduct, submission of fraudulent information, or any other behavior that could be considered compromising the integrity or confidentiality of the certification examination.

5. Training Units

5.1.1 "Training Units" are Informatica's training credits that may be redeemed by you for any individual training service or product not designated as an annual Informatica Education Subscription.

5.1.2 Use of Training Units. Training Units (a) are non-refundable, (b) are non-transferable, (c) may not be redeemed for cash or credit, (d) must be used as whole credits, (e) cannot be combined with any other discount, special offer, or coupon.

5.1.3 Term time limitations may be found within section 6.1.1

6. Time Limitations

6.1.1 For annual account or subscription programs, you must use all Informatica Training offerings, including Training Units, within one (1) year of the date of purchase, any unused training offerings will be forfeited.

6.1.2 For 90-day access programs, you must use all Informatica training offerings, and hands-on lab time within that 90 days of the date of purchase, any unused training offerings will be forfeited.

7. Payment

Notwithstanding other payment terms, payment for Training/Training Units must be received in full prior to the delivery of the associated Training.
