Claude Edkins, Senior VP and CIO, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS)

Mr. Claude Edkins is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) headquartered in White Plains, New York. Mr. Edkins was appointed to the position of Chief Information Office at LLS in early 2014 after serving as the Vice President of Technology for Infrastructure and then Vice President of Emerging Technologies since joining LLS in 2004. Prior to working for LLS, he worked at The Gartner Group as Program Director for the Executive Program CIO research service offering and worked at Perot Systems for twelve years as a network engineer, senior technologist, and later as the Chief Technology Officer of the healthcare division. Mr. Edkins served in United State Marine Corp for six years prior to completing his undergraduate degree in Computer Science in 1990. Mr. Edkins is a member of several customer technology advisory boards across the technology spectrum and a vocal in helping partners craft solutions that support the needs of the not-for-profit industry.


Nicolas E. Lance, VP, Retirement Income Strategies, OneAmerica®

Mr. Lance is a strategic business transformation leader with over 25 years of domestic and international insurance distribution experience in emerging and mature markets with top tier financial services firms such as OneAmerica, MetLife, AXA and Generali.

He has served around the world in various senior leadership M&A roles leading large scale multi-million dollar transformation programs and heading insurance operations at branch, regional, national and international levels. Prior to joining OneAmerica in the fall of 2013, he was based in London, England where he was responsible for leading the successful integration of MetLife and Alico in EMEA with a focus on Ireland and the United Kingdom. He also helped launch AXA Equitable’s At Retirement® program in the U.S., served as AXA Group’s global head of Internal Communications in Paris, France, and was COO of AXA Advisors’ Northeast Division based in New York.

Mr. Lance holds a Masters of Business Administration degree in International Business from The George Washington University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Rhode Island, and an Executive Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School. He has dual French – U.S. citizenships and is multilingual.

Her deep experience with high volume, high variety, and highly complex data, has enabled her to lead efforts to deploy a unique Data Governance Program at UPMC, designed to increase value of UPMC’s data assets by engaging the entire organization in data related work to make self-service analytics a reality.
