Speaker: Lawrence Smith, Senior Sales Consultant, Informatica

Lawrence Smith is a Senior Sales Consultant for Sub Saharan Africa at Informatica. Lawrence started his career implementing Customer Relationship Management software for customers in Europe. Having Africa in his blood, he yearned to be home. He managed to join a mid-market customer relationship software vendor focusing on driving business within South Africa and within the African region. After a few years he was approached by an enterprise software vendor to focus on advising and driving the adoption of customer relationship management software within telecommunications industry. During his many years of advising companies about customer relationship management he came to the realisation that one key component was always responsible for any success or failure - “Data”. Lawrence then decided that it was time to move on, time to focus on what is truly important - “Data”. Managing the flow and the quality of data, is the recipe for driving a successful enterprise in today’s world. Lawrence now focuses on assisting enterprises understand the importance of data and how they can leverage data to be successful.

4. Application Ready: “Lower Your Risk for Application Consolidation & Migration Projects”

Speaker: Frederic Azar - Senior Presales Consultant, MENA

After graduating with Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Notre Dame University in Lebanon, Frederic moved to France in 2001 where he worked with leading SIs delivering cutting edge BI solutions using mainly Informatica technology. He was approached by Informatica IPS team in 2007 where he played a Technical Account Manager role for several of Informatica’s customer in Europe and North America.

In 2011, Frederic accepted a challenge to move back to his home country. He successfully helped establish the only Informatica partner in the land of Cedars. During a period of over 3 years, and in the midst of a very difficult economical and geopolitical environment, maaloomatiia had successfully added 5 new logos into Informatica’s portfolio including top 3 local banks, number 1 university and the number 1 Telco in the country.

Frederic was called back to join Informatica team in MEA. He now focuses on assisting enterprises understand the importance of data and how they can leverage data to be successful using Informatica technology.

5. Decision Ready: “To Compete on Analytics, First Compete on Data”

Speaker: Veemal Kalanjee, Senior Solutions Consultant, Informatica

Veemal holds a MSc. Computer Science degree and has been involved in the Data Management space for the last 10 years. He started out his career as a Data Integration Consultant with a focus on Business Intelligence.

His experience on the Informatica platform spans 8 years and in this time he has been involved in roles ranging from Developer to Pre-Sales. He is currently the Senior Solutions Consultant for Sub-Saharan Africa.

6. Cloud Ready: “Journey to the Cloud”

Speaker: Speaker: Lindsay Jones

Helping customer deliver great customer experiences through Good Data practices. Been woking in the Cloud eco-system with many of the large cloud players like Salesforce.com, Netsuite, Veeva and Zuora for many years. Whilst at Informatica Cloud, Lindsay has been involved with Cloud transformation projects with BT, Vodafone, Travel Corporation, News UK, Mix Telematics, CAP Security & ArcelorMittal.
