Session Descriptions
Keynote: Perspectives on a Data-centric World
Todd Goldman, Vice President, General Manager, Enterprise Data Integration, Informatica
Every day, we collect more data than the day before. More business transaction data. More human interaction data. More machine interaction data. Data is no longer the records we keep but it is becoming the fuel for better customer interactions, smarter products. This keynote will discuss the trends and technologies that are fundamentally changing our landscape towards a data first mindset and how next-generation data technologies can be leveraged to unleash the potential locked up in your systems.
Journey to the Cloud
Bryan Plaster, VP Cloud Customer Success Informatica
Technology megatrends such as SaaS, social, mobile and Internet of Things are transforming where business data resides, what business data is comprised of, how we access business data and who are the users of business data. The result is that every company, in every industry, must respond to these megatrends and manage data in a new way as the where, what, how and who of business data is now in a hybrid world and eventually moving to the cloud. In this session, learn about Informatica’s industry first complete Cloud integration and Data Management platform for the move to the cloud. Key use cases for journey to the cloud includes data migration, data synchronization & replication, cloud process automation, cloud mdm, lift and shift patterns, and cloud data warehousing.
Data-centric Security for a Data-centric World
Bryan Vogus, Director of Strategic Business Development, Informatica
Increasing privacy regulations — and increased public attention to data breaches — make it critical to protect financial records, personal information, and other sensitive data. Learn about the latest data security trends, see updates to Informatica's data privacy and Test Data Management offerings, and find out how Informatica protects sensitive information in real time and in non-production environments without requiring costly, time-consuming changes to applications and databases.

Data Governance Best Practices
Rob Karel, Vice President Product Strategy, Informatica
As the challenges facing government organizations continue to mount, new mandates, program enhancements, and the endless calls for better and faster service also continue to grow. Many public sector enterprises are turning to the power of their most strategic asset, data, to identify a new path forward. A path that can unlock previously hidden answers to better service for citizens and constituents, more informed policy definition, and less waste, fraud and abuse. Data governance enables government organizations to connect disparate pieces of data across agencies, departments, and programs into a single, actionable view. Join us to learn how government agencies have instituted successful data governance policies to improve regulatory, oversight, enforcement, and tax collection capabilities; how organizations identify fraud and trim wasteful spending; and best practices to accurately access public safety threats.

Getting Started with 2 Big Data Projects: Data Warehouse Optimization and a Managed Data Lake
Todd Goldman, Vice President, General Manager, Enterprise Data Integration, Informatica
To leverage Big Data for greater business agility and innovation, you need to speed up the process of finding, accessing, and preparing Big Data for analysis — while still controlling costs in your data warehouse environment. Find out how Hadoop lets you redistribute data storage and processing to optimize for cost, performance, and scalability by creating a new data management infrastructure called a Data Lake.
