Session Descriptions
Keynote: Perspectives on a Data-centric World
Piet Loubser, Vice President, Platform Product Marketing, Informatica
Every day, we collect more data than the day before. More business transaction data. More human interaction data. More machine interaction data. Data is no longer the records we keep but it is becoming the fuel for better customer interactions, smarter products. This keynote will discuss the trends and technologies that are fundamentally changing our landscape towards a data first mindset and how next-generation data technologies can be leveraged to unleash the potential locked up in your systems.

Using Agile Data Techniques to Deliver Real-Time Intelligence
Alan Lundberg, Principal Marketing Manager, Emerging Products, Informatica
Most organizations struggle to deliver information to the business in a timely and relevant fashion. During this session, you will learn about a number of solution approaches to these problems, including the use of techniques such as change data capture (CDC), agile data integration, and real-time "edge" processing. By incorporating these techniques into your organization, data can be made available to the people that need it, when they need it, and decisions can be made using the most up-to-date information possible.

Mastering Data Across Multiple Areas of the Business to Drive Efficiencies
Greg Ladd, Account Executive, Master Data Management, Informatica
Traditionally, organizations have data residing in multiple areas of their business. When other groups access this data, they are unsure of the data's validity, and if they should trust it to make timely business decisions. In this session, you will hear examples of organizations that have built trusted, reliable and timely views across the organization. Examples of these cross-domain solutions will include: MRO supplier and material information to ensure optimum field operations and a governed information culture resulting in synchronized information among exploration, production, land, reservoir and accounting.

Data-centric Security for a Data-centric World
Akil Murali, ILM Product Management, Informatica
Increasing privacy regulations — and increased public attention to data breaches — make it critical to protect financial records, personal information, and other sensitive data. Learn about the latest data security trends, see updates to Informatica's data privacy and Test Data Management offerings, and find out how Informatica protects sensitive information in real time and in non-production environments without requiring costly, time-consuming changes to applications and databases.

Mastering Data in the Energy Resources Industry
Mona Pomraning, Accenture Analytics, Information Management, Accenture
Mastering and getting insights out of data is a big problem for the energy resources industry, both upstream and downstream; for example, wells, pumps and equipment. Data discovery success paves the way for the next steps in the analytics journey - integrating and managing information, then using the outcomes to make real impacts. We will highlight offerings, best practices and lessons learned by our Accenture data experts to accelerate the delivery through data management technology and process to support a dynamic business environment.
